[A low hum as he continues painting, actually focusing a little more on this skull than the previous ones where he just did random things to it. Obviously it will also have some patterns or some kind of decor around it, but with a bunny motif... Paw prints? Or carrots... Maybe he should start with the whiskers? Would a skull have whiskers???
Eventually he'll start, but he will definitely be holding up that skull and scrutinizing it so hard to the point it almost looks like he's glaring at it—or, given the paint job, like a wolf ready to tear it apart.]
[While he does that, Tifa gets to work on her own wolf one, painting in with colours of grays, whites, golds, and yellows, mixed in with some blues. Every now and then, she glances up at him, watching him with a smile that unknowingly grows every time she sees him scrutinizing or studying his work. It's endearing and almost frustratingly cute, and she wants to lean over to peek at what he's painted so far, but she'll wait until they're finished.
Next are the ears, which she cuts out for both of them from the smaller pieces of the cardboard. A pair of wolf ears for her and a rabbit-shaped cutouts for him. These, she paints white to match his hair with little flecks of gray for "depth", as she'll call it.
And once they are both finished...]
Are we ready for the big reveal?
[As if they haven't been sitting beside each other the whole time, but she tries (and fails) to hide her own behind her hands.]
[In the end, he makes a black colored rabbit, which although fitting for the season is clearly based off her. Even the eye sockets are tinted red. But it has some simple motifs around the sides with a little carrot on the back, mostly for silliness.
And with the ears now attached, it at least looks more recognizable... Ah, the whiskers. He'll paint those with one of those glow in the dark white paints. There we go.
He'll look over with an arched brow.]
Big reveal? You've been looking over mine every other minute.
[She tries to close her eyes, but he's way too fast.]
Way to ruin the surprise...!
[But she's all giggles and grins as she reaches out to take the skull to look at it, turning it over to admire the patterns and the colours, and when she gets to the carrot in the back, she lets out a little surprised gasp.]
Is it strange that I think it's actually pretty cute? I'm loving the carrot too, it's a great touch.
[There's a subtle light of amusement in his eyes.]
Might depend. The ghost I mentioned before from my world was powerful enough to have a more corporeal form so she could eat and drink like anyone else. They could be the same here.

Yeah, but—
[She glances down at the skull, and then back at him, an innocent look about her.]
I still don't know what it really looks like!
no subject
[Just a flat look, but there is some mirth in his eyes before he twirls the "rabbit skull" in his hands.]
Do I need to hide it before you can look?
no subject
I could just close my eyes if that would make it easier.

[Just going to shove it closer to her face—]

[She pokes the ears with a spreading smile, fondness sparking in her eyes.]
But you know that ghouls can be cute, too.

[She tilts her head, curious.]
I've seen some, but they were... I wouldn't call them cute or endearing. More like... they liked playing tricks on us.

[There's something like fear that flickers through her eyes.]
Well, guess that's better than the alternative, right?
no subject
I wouldn't say "friend," but acquaintances.
[...Hm.]
But I haven't really paid much attention here...even last year when the ghosts were out. Guess they'll be doing that again this year, too.

[She fidgets with the skull a bit before setting it down.]
One that hopefully doesn't get crashed by another ship filled with ghosts.

[Eying...]
Think any ghosts would try to visit for a drink?
no subject
What, here!?
[And there's a wary glance over her shoulder at the very empty and quiet deck of the ship.]
No way a ghost would come all the way over here just for a drink... right?
no subject
Sloooowly sipping his glass of whiskey.]
Would it be a problem? A spirit wanting some...spirits.
no subject
[She sounds a little nervous.]
... But can ghosts even drink!?

[And now for a wolfish grin.]
Maybe they've already been around.

[She cuts him off before he can say any more, and she gives him a little shove.]
That isn't funny, you know!
no subject
Are you that scared of ghosts?
no subject
[Yes, she is, and she glances away, embarrassed.]
Maybe a little bit?
no subject
Really? But you seem to handle other monsters fine.
