[ramuhs]

[Not long after the Ghoul's Moon festivities—in fact, the very day after—Cid has Benedikta walking through the cool tunnels of the Roost, hands over her eyes.]

Just a little further now.

[garudas]

[When she had said surprise her, she isn't sure that she meant to quite literally surprise her. She had made a face at him when he'd placed his hands over her eyes and started guiding her through the long, winding tunnels of the Roost, but that had been the only protest. For the most part.

And while she may be tense—because anyone would be with hands over their eyes on jagged, rocky paths—he'll no doubt hear her the hint of amusement edging her voice as they shuffle along.]

Do you really need to cover my eyes like this?

[ramuhs]

Probably not, but it does add to the suspense, doesn't it?

[He grins as he continues to carefully guide her.]

Can you even guess where we are?

[garudas]

[She just clicks her tongue at him, but a smile pulls at one corner of her lip.]

Well, we've gone up an incline, and I can feel the wind coming through...

[He'll feel her brow arch behind his hand.]

One of the many tunnels leading up.

[Surely if she keeps it general enough, she'll get it right!?]

[ramuhs]

[He chuckles at that.]

You're right so far.

[garudas]

[She laughs, pleased with herself... as if it were a difficult guess. She's walked through these tunnels many times to get up above the caves.]

And? What is my prize?

[ramuhs]

Still waiting for you at the end of the road.

[garudas]

But that prize was already waiting for me.

[Her hands come up to rest on his wrists, almost like she's about to tug his hands away from her eyes.]

I think that deserves another.

[ramuhs]

Hmm, and what kind of prize are you thinking of?

[garudas]

[She's just going to come right out and say it:]

You.

[Is he really that surprised?]

[ramuhs]

[Not at all and he just laughs, especially when he always answers the same to her.]

Is that really so much of a prize when it's more of a given?

[garudas]

I should like to think so.

[She grins, even if he can't see it.]

... But I have other requests if you'd rather I choose something else.

[ramuhs]

And what would those be?

[garudas]

My usual demands. As well as some new ones.

[He can probably already guess some of them. Of course, all of this is just playful banter as she continues to blindly walk where he guides her. It's not as if she needs any of these things, but they would certainly be nice bonuses.]

A larger bath, a cooler and small wine rack for our bedroom, a new set of towels, and... a bigger bed.

[ramuhs]

...Not quite the demands I expected.

[But she'll hear the amusement in his voice as they go around a curve. She'll also feel cleaner, fresher air starting to drift through.]

Now is this for our house here or for the treehouse?

[garudas]

[She does trip as they round the bend, her hands going out on either side to balance herself against the walls. But she can sense the shift in the air—the crisper, cleaner air that billows past her, carrying with it the soft, subtle scent of flowers. She raises a curious brow.]

Why can't it be for both?

[ramuhs]

[Oop—he'll try and help steady her though admittedly a little harder since he still has one hand over her eyes.]

One has more space and the other is more limited. And you realize we already have the largest bed possible? Any larger and it would be the whole room.

[garudas]

Alright, fine.

[She laughs, her hand caressing the back of his.]

Then I would like the comfiest quilts and throws possible for the bed.

[ramuhs]

Now that I can do.

[She can hear his smile and the quiet chuckle that comes along with those words, and soon she'll feel a strong breeze, their footsteps echoing less as the distant sound of leaves rustling can seen be heard.]

[garudas]

[The next shift leaves her curious, the sound of leaves rustling and the clearer breeze are not things that she expected from being inside a cave, and now she'll try to be sneaky and grab a peek.]

You had best not be taking me up to the gryphons at this rate, Cidolfus. Where are we going?

[ramuhs]

[And he will actually spin her around when she tries to take that peek.]

Not just yet, we're almost there.

[However, instead of hitting open air, she'll hear them going away from that cool breeze and back into the tunnel.]

[garudas]

[She sputters out his name when she's spun, her hands going to his shoulders for balance at the sudden movement. And there's a beat of confusion when she feels that wind disappear, and the echoing of their footsteps that tells her—]

Tunnel? Again? I do hope this is not one of those "shortcuts" you mentioned...

[ramuhs]

Well not exactly...

[garudas]

Not "exactly"...

[She echoes it with some sarcasm edging her voice.]

Leaving room for a "maybe". Cidolfus, truly, where are we going? I thought you wanted to stay close to the rest of the crew.

[Even if she had protested as much at first...]

[ramuhs]

Not to worry, it's not so far away.

[Still not answering~ But it really is not much farther for after a few more steps, he stops.]
