Suppose I might have a few conditions... But I am still a little curious.

[garudas]

[She lifts an equally curious brow.]

And what might those be?

[ramuhs]

I think you can take a guess.

[His hand will go up to hers then as he leans in close.]

Only a certain amount of attraction, for instance.

[Flirting and charming someone is all part of the game, but now there's only so much he'd deem "allowable."]

[garudas]

Hm? And how much...?

[She brushes her lips over his jaw, her eyes flitting about the room behind him.]

You know that I cannot help how attracted they get.

[ramuhs]

As long as you don't give as much as they wish to receive.

[A lower rumble of his voice as he looks down at her, thumb lightly brushing over her hand with a trickle of levin to go with it.]

[garudas]

[The levin hovers around the ring, almost as if it means to burn a mark there where it sits. Her eyes close against the heat, a stuttered breath leaving her, and when she opens them again, they're alight.]

Be careful, or else I might end up giving it all to you instead.

[ramuhs]

[Just a wry grin at that as his lips brush over hers.]

As if you weren't going to already?

[garudas]

[She chuckles, low and breathy, into a stolen kiss.]

But then I will have nothing left to give anyone else...

[She leaves a little red mark of her lipstick against the corner of his lips before she's pulling back just far enough to meet his gaze.]

And what of your tricks?

[ramuhs]

[A low grin.]

My strategies are less of the "seductive" persuasion.

[Not that he hasn't used that angle before, but not as often compared to his other "charm" tactics.]

However a well placed smile and feigned interest have gone quite a long ways for me.

[Look, he knows he has his looks as well.]

[garudas]

[With her hands on his jacket, she pulls him closer again, a possessive gleam flashing in her eyes.]

And that works on... other women?

[ramuhs]

Hasn't failed me yet.

[And he's going to give her that roguish smile and shining gleam in his eyes as his hands move to her waist as his voice lowers.]

I keep more of a distance, however.

[garudas]

[She purrs again, the sound low in his ear, and it turns into a feigned disgruntled noise.]

Good, because should anyone lay their fingers on you, I've no objections with removing the problem.

[She reaches across him to grab her wine from the table, swirling the last drops of it around as her eyes scan the room.]

The guards stationed at the doors might be good practice.

[ramuhs]

Oh?

[A subtle glances as his hands slowly slide up her side.]

What do you think of getting from them?

[garudas]

[And now it's her turn to wear a roguish smile, one that very much mirrors the one he dons when he is up to something, as she sways her hips between his hands. She's only learned from the best...]

Some keys would be a decent place to start. Surely they would not be there if they weren't watching something valuable on the other side.

[ramuhs]

[Oh ho. Interest shines in his eyes as he continues to not so subtly run his hand over her dress.]

You really think you can?

[He doesn't really doubt her, he just wants to tease her, goad her a bit.]

[garudas]

[She knows that he's just teasing and that he does have confidence in her, but...]

What, you do not think I can?

[There's a playful nip of his lip in retaliation.]

If you could do better, then by all means...

[ramuhs]

[A quiet chuckle at that.]

No, I'd like to see you first.

[garudas]

Ah, you want to steal my tricks, do you?

[She downs that last sip of her wine and sets the glass down, deliberately pressing her hips to his as she does.]

Fine. Pick a guard and we will see.

[ramuhs]

I just want to observe my lovely bird is able to do, nothing more.

[But he is amused as he looks at her first before scanning the guards around. Not too many, but enough...

And then a smirk.]

All right, that one, over there.

[And then one he nods towards is a heron.]

[garudas]

[Her eyes narrow at him.]

... A bird? Really?

[ramuhs]

What, would you prefer the one over there?

[A tilts of his head towards a feline looking one, a jaguar.]

[garudas]

[She follows his nod and makes a face at him.]

You know how they get.

[She hasn't exactly had great experiences with birds... Though, it could prove to be in her favour. With one last bristle, she taps his shoulder to nudge him out of her way.]

Do try not to get too jealous.

[ramuhs]

I'll try not to.

[He'll let her go...but not before he takes her left hand to hold it up between them, that ring front and center.]

But it'll be a little easier with this.

[garudas]

[He'll see her chest stop with a stuttered breath. She's tried not to bring too much attention to the ring on her finger, if only because it has proven to be more distracting than anything, sending her thoughts tumbling into places they should not be tonight.

Her thumb brushes over the cool metal before it moves across the inside of his hand.]

Or will it prove to be an issue?

[She is very much not inclined to take it off.]

[ramuhs]

[A subtle smile as his eyes never leave hers.]

Or perhaps give them an even greater challenge... Men are all the same, after all.

[He leans in closer, lips against her ear.]

Coveting what cannot be theirs.
