[Since Joshua's brother Clive's sudden departure into the rifts, a certain gaggle of brightly colours birds have been left behind to manage. While the crew has divided the work up thus far, Joshua feels as though the task of taking care of the island's local chocobos should be mostly his responsibility.
Now he finds himself in the middle of the makeshift pen holding out two very large, very juicy radishes out like they're vegetable-shaped swords.]
Now... Please. Let's try this again, shall we? Please be gentle when taking your treats.
[The chocobos are starting to coo and whistle sweetly at him. But they're also starting to crowd in closer and closer... And it looks as though Joshua is going to be mauled under a mountain of feathery friends if he doesn't get a hand with feeding them soon.]
[ π b. manta board: out of the blue]
[Joshua may be aboard The Enterprise, The Stormbringer or any one of the neutral ships for this quest while going out to sea in search of the ever elusive and rare gemstone sharks. The early springtime air is still chilly on the wind but it's a beautiful sunny day for trying to find some exotic or dangerous fish.
Although, Joshua isn't sure how dangerous they will actually be or not. When he sees one swimming serenely through the icy water, he can't help but to watch it with some awe. And these creatures are certainly worthy of awe.]
It seems almost a shame to capture them...
[π c. bounty: bear necessities]
[On Eltrut, Joshua is on a mission to help track down and apprehend the thief that has been stealing ... women's panties. It's an outrageous crime and one that should be stopped immediately!
... Please ignore the way his face is blushing mad?]
We must find this man and force him to face the reality of his crimes. Immediately...!
[Perhaps Joshua has a personal stake in this bounty? Maybe someone took- his undergarments. Not that he would ever admit such a thing since he is not, in fact, a woman!? He is a gentleman!]
[π d. wildcard;]
[got something else? feel free to put it down here. or you can find me atmichrure for more planning]

Like he's pouting.]
Air travel...? How so?

Within minutes, a certain two-tailed cat demon comes flying over them before landing beside Leona. She 'mrrows' softly, brushing against the lion.
Leona reaches over to pet her.]
Meet Kirara. We can ride her to get a better view.
no subject
... It's better than suggesting they ride Joshua into the air. Although, he hasn't told Leona that he can fly, himself.]
... Hello there. Are you certain this is safe?
no subject
[Kirara blinks her big eyes at Joshua, tilting her head to the side curiously.]
It's better than being on ground, isn't it?
no subject
Hmm.]
I suppose if you let me fall, I'll be able to catch myself.
[That's a yes. Let's give it a try.]
no subject
[Not that he's offended by it.
He pets Kirara before moving to sit on top of her. Fortunately, Kirara doesn't seem to mind too much, and he offers a hand to Joshua.]
no subject
Consider this your chance to earn it.
[He'll take the offered hand and hoist himself up carefully behind Leona.]
no subject
[He grins in return.
Once Joshua is settled behind him, Kirara takes off into the air!
Leona's ears flicks forward and he looks down as the fire-cat flies over the people and buildings.]
no subject
Joshua barely makes a surprised noise when they take to the air! It seems he isn't scared at all. It actually looks like Joshua is very comfortable up here in the air.]
Incredible. I have to say, this is quite a bit better than riding a ship.
no subject
[He pets Kirara, earning a deep purr from her.]
Able to see better now that weβre up here?
no subject
I can. Although, I assume she cannot manage long journeys across the ocean?
[Going to Nogard is far enough...!]
no subject
[Poor Kirara.
Leona glances back at him.]
So hopefully we find your thief soon.
no subject
[Joshua watches down below. Seeing Nogard from this height is nothing new, he has flown over the dragon-skeleton a few times now. But it is marginally easier to focus on the city streets below when he's not the one flying.]
We must look for any suspicious activity. ... More than likely near homes or villas.
[Or clotheslines...]
no subject
Or...follow the sound of scandalized screaming.
[Because there are definitely some women screaming now, shouting after someone. It has Leona looking down while Kirara also peeks down at the noise. He squints a bit as he sees something run away from the women trying to chase after it.]
no subject
[Joshua commands. If they can find this person in the act, it will be that much more satisfying to take him down...
The scene before them is a pair of frightened women who are shouting and screaming, throwing whatever they can grab at a retreating shadow. Chairs, books, frying pans...]
There! Follow the shadow!
[The shadow. It's ... quite a bit slower moving than he had been expecting. A slow theif?]
no subject
[Kirara growls softly, making a quick turn in the air to go after the shadow.
Leona's nose twitches and he raises a brow.]
It's not actually that fast, is it?
[It doesn't quite look human either.]
no subject
Best we don't underestimate him, still.
[Once they are close enough to the ground, Joshua will hop off and press up against a building to try and catch a look.
... It appears to be a slow moving, overweight bearman that is waddling away with a pair of lacy panties in his hands...........]
no subject
It's a bearman. A giant, overweight bearman. Leona doesn't really look as impressed by it from where he and Kirara are still up in the air.
Instead, he raises a brow down at Joshua as if asking what he wants to do. Leona can have the bearman slam into a wall of sand or make him trip over with some wind.]
no subject
This isn't as dire as he first thought. He gives a bit of a shrug.
Would Leona like to do the honours?]
no subject
Leona grunts, taking out his magical pen and flicking it toward the bearman. A wall of sand suddenly forms from beneath its feet, making sure that thing runs face first into it.
Kirara starts to lower toward the ground so Leona can jump off her.]
no subject
Easy enough. Thank you, Leona.
[What a weird day... Joshua heads over to the bearman and puts his boot on the man's chest to keep him down. He then pulls out his long sword and points it at the man.]
You there. I believe you have a few personal items on you that do not belong to you?
no subject
The bearman seems startled, holding his hands up and trying to stammer up an excuse. He's innocent! He swears! It's not what it looks like! But--oh. He recognizes Joshua. Calling him the pretty lady from the other night--
Leona is amused by this. This bearman just gave himself away and confirmed that he did steal from Joshua.]
You just outed yourself. Not much defense you can give yourself here.
[Not with that sword pointed at the man.]
no subject
[Joshua frowns at being called a pretty lady. Listen, he knows that he is on the feminine side when it comes to his looks. But Leona does not need to be so amused by this.
He presses his foot down harder and the man groans in pain. He starts whining that he wants to be let go.]
It is not so much about getting back what was stolen. It is about making an example out of you.
[Now... Corsairs don't necessarily have any jails on Nogard. There are ways to hand in bounties for the money. Such as ... the public wooden stocks just across the cobblestone street.]
There. Come with us willingly or we'll put a sword to your throat.
no subject
When the man whines again, looking like he might put up a fight, Leona flashes a grin.]
Not quite sure what you are, but I've heard bear can be rather delicious to eat. Grilled with the right seasoning and we'll have ourselves a barbecue.
[Not to mention Leona has his own pen ready in case he does need to cast some magic. There might even be an eager light in his eyes as if daring the bearman to fight back. He wouldn't mind a hunt.]
no subject
A threat is a threat, he supposes.......... But it appears to get the bear man to cower. He whines once more before he agrees to take his punishment.
It's only then that Joshua dares to take his foot off the man's chest and allow him to stand. Once he does, they'll force him into the wooden stocks by the wrists. While clicking them into place, Joshua sighs out.]
Now, hopefully this will be the end to these perverted games.
