[Since Joshua's brother Clive's sudden departure into the rifts, a certain gaggle of brightly colours birds have been left behind to manage. While the crew has divided the work up thus far, Joshua feels as though the task of taking care of the island's local chocobos should be mostly his responsibility.

Now he finds himself in the middle of the makeshift pen holding out two very large, very juicy radishes out like they're vegetable-shaped swords.]

Now... Please. Let's try this again, shall we? Please be gentle when taking your treats.

[The chocobos are starting to coo and whistle sweetly at him. But they're also starting to crowd in closer and closer... And it looks as though Joshua is going to be mauled under a mountain of feathery friends if he doesn't get a hand with feeding them soon.]

[ 📌 b. manta board: out of the blue]

[Joshua may be aboard The Enterprise, The Stormbringer or any one of the neutral ships for this quest while going out to sea in search of the ever elusive and rare gemstone sharks. The early springtime air is still chilly on the wind but it's a beautiful sunny day for trying to find some exotic or dangerous fish.

Although, Joshua isn't sure how dangerous they will actually be or not. When he sees one swimming serenely through the icy water, he can't help but to watch it with some awe. And these creatures are certainly worthy of awe.]

It seems almost a shame to capture them...

[📌 c. bounty: bear necessities]

[On Eltrut, Joshua is on a mission to help track down and apprehend the thief that has been stealing ... women's panties. It's an outrageous crime and one that should be stopped immediately!

... Please ignore the way his face is blushing mad?]

We must find this man and force him to face the reality of his crimes. Immediately...!

[Perhaps Joshua has a personal stake in this bounty? Maybe someone took- his undergarments. Not that he would ever admit such a thing since he is not, in fact, a woman!? He is a gentleman!]

[Ah-- Joshua, the Chocobo Whisperer.

Enty is giggling a little at his plight. But yeah, he does look like he could use some help, doesn't he? Excuse her as she steps forward to aid him in his plight.]

Do you mind if I help out?

Lady Enterprise.

[He's surprised to see her here.]

I wouldn't want to bother you with a chore that's mine to finish. Are you certain?

I don't mind at all.

[Normally she might be off doing some other task. But things felt pretty peaceful and relaxing so far. Also, the giant chickens had caught her attention.]

I enjoy birds anyway, and like feeding them whenever I can.

[Joshua gives a small nod and then tries to carefully take a step backwards from the greedy birds. They chirp curiously.]

There is a small basket of radishes just over there. If you could.

[She does just that, moving to retrieve the said basket of treats!]

Alright everyone, come here! I've got some delicious radishes.

[Smiling, Enty takes out a handful of the veggies and holds them out, hopefully pulling at least a few chocobo away from Joshua!]

[Two of them do seem very interested the moment that she brings out the veggies. They squawk and trot over to her to greedily push and snap at the basket.

Joshua gives a small laugh.] It seems you are a natural, my lady.

Easy now, there's enough for all of you.

[She laughs and goes ahead and tosses out the radishes, spreading them out to pull the birds away from her and help keep them from fighting each other.]

Thank you, I really enjoy working around birds. How about you? You seemed to have been really popular with this group.

[Feisty creatures. Joshua lets out a short laugh at the display.]

I do not mind chocobos as well, these types are actually native to my home world.

[He goes to pick up another basket of greens and tomatoes.]

While my brother has always been the better handler. These ones do seem to like me...

Are they not always this friendly?

[Because so far they've basically been reminding her of overgrown dogs! Just with feathers instead of fur. Enty continues to feed them dutifully, holding their attentions as Joshua grabs another basket of veggies. Gotta keep them occupied as he prepares himself for another frenzy!]

They are usually friendly. Unless they are too hungry to care.

[Joshua chuckles lightly. He might have gotten a peck or two to the face once or twice before... Do not withhold the snacks.]

Like right now, I'm guessing.

[She gives a laugh as more chocobos make off with some radishes right from her basket. The sneaky fiends!]

I can't imagine what they must be like when upset.

Believe me, enduring a chocobo's beak to the face is an experience you're better off avoiding.

[They can be scary... And strong!!]

Hm, I'm not sure if I believe you. They look more like big softies to me.

[She gives a small giggle in return. But honestly, yeah, those beaks look like they can pack a punch! After all, look at how they're tearing through those veggies! So savage... so brutal...!]

And your face seems to be in one piece.

[Joshua finds himself chuckling again.]

Yes, that so much is true. [She caught him!] For the most part, they are sweet and docile creatures.

Do you have anything like them in your own world?

Hm, we do have large birds called ostriches and emus that look similar. Though, I don't think they have quite the same temperament as these chocobos. If anything, I would say these birds remind more of horses.

[Because, you know, you can also ride them, and they're a lot more friendly. Except, apparently, for the potential of having your face pecked at!]

Well, maybe more like oversized chickens.

[He nods.]

Oversized chickens would be an accurate description, though on my star, they do serve in place of horses.

[Do people eat chocobos because they are oversized chicken? ... It's hard to say.]

[Do chocobos taste good? What does Kentucky Fried Chocobo taste like? This is an important question.]

Do you not have horses back home?

[Also! She's just about out of treats to give the birds now and must soon reload!]

[Joshua shakes his head.]

We do not, I've only discovered what they are here.

[For all intents and purposes, chocobos are horses!]

That must have been a bit of shock for you.

[Horses are odd friends, even back home! Still...! chocobos are horses, and horses are chocobos! Same appetite, same attitude...]

It was different. Most things that I've come across on this star have been a new wonder.

[His home star isn't nearly as thriving with life as this one...]
