Because... what if they can understand us?

[She nudges her gaze down to the bunnies on her lap, some of them staring up at her... or rather, that sandwich.]

Remember what happened with Valo?

[flamekthunder]

I don't think we have to worry about that. Besides, what are you worrying about them hearing?

[starshower]

[She presses a finger to his lip, and takes a bite of that offered sandwich again.]

I don't know... Our secrets?

[flamekthunder]

And what secrets are you going to talk about?

[A light smirk as his lips brush against her finger. But a glance at the rabbits prove...

...They either don't understand or really don't care because they're just munching away at the food.]

[starshower]

[She hums, watching his lips with a sort of rapture, her own falling open with a tiny breath.]

Well, they don't necessarily have to be ones that we talk about, do they...?

[flamekthunder]

[He just continues to smirk a little as he teases her a little more, keeping his lips against her finger as he speaks and sneaks a kiss in-between.]

So...you're thinking of nonverbal secrets, hm?

[starshower]

[He really needs to stop because they are toeing a dangerous line here with these bunnies!!! Her chest hitches, rising sharply when she draws in another breath when his lips press to her fingers...]

Well, not all secrets have to be verbal, do they?

[She doesn't mean to sound so breathless, but this is just what he does to her...

Except she will be distracted when one bunny hops up onto her chest to try and steal a bite of her sandwich!]

Whoa, hey!

[flamekthunder]

[It doesn't help that she makes it so easy to tease her.

But when the rabbit bounces onto her chest, he's startled...

...

And then frowns.]

You have plenty already.

[Is what he says as he gently but firmly grabs the rabbit to set it back down, but he's more annoyed that it hopped onto her chest.]

My hero...

[Meanwhile, Tifa is all giggles, watching as it kicks its hind legs when Eustace picks it up and sets it down on the blanket, and its ears droop and its nose twitches while it stares up at him.]

Careful, though. Think you made yourself an enemy.

[flamekthunder]

[HMMMM. What if he offers it a piece of another sandwich? It's the same kind as Tifa's, just not one she's eating right now!!!

And more specifically, not on her chest.]

[Wait, is he jealous?

Tifa watches him with a smile, lip caught between her teeth in an effort to hide it, and the rabbit takes the bait.]

There. Now, think we can enjoy the rest of this lunch in peace?

[flamekthunder]

[JUST BECAUSE HER CHEST IS OFF LIMITS.]

What's left of it, anyway.

[But while there's some exasperation because of that foul bunny, he's not really that irritated they've had to share their meal. He's packed plenty, as if he expected it would happen.

And he's holding up her sandwich again for her to either take herself, or eat from like before.]

[She'll be nice and actually take it this time, but she has to hold it up a little higher when she sees that some of them have taken interest.]

So, what's the plan after this?

[flamekthunder]

[Eying those rabbits warily and tries to distract them with the other sandwich, showing them pieces and setting them to the side. He hasn't even noticed that first rabbit had slowly come up to him...]

The island is fairly small. We could walk around the entirety of it within an hour, a little more for the interior, so I thought we could just enjoy the walk. There are a few more scenic places... And more rabbits.

[starshower]

[Ah-ha. Tifa watches that rabbit with a keen eye as it approaches Eustace, and then bunts his leg with its head, likely asking for him to feed it.]

That sounds perfect. We should finish up our lunch before they steal the rest of it, though. I wanna try some of the other things you brought.

[flamekthunder]

Sure—

[He didn't notice the bump at first, but then the rabbit bumps its head against his leg and Eustace blinks in surprise before looking down.

Oh...

For a moment he hesitates before he carefully feeds it some lettuce, which the rabbit will calmly munch on. Watching this, Eustace smiles softly before he grabs the container that had the kebabs. Given that it's meat, the rabbits have avoided so at least these were spared.

Although they may be eying the vegetables that are part of it...

But these are for Tifa, anyway, so he's holding one out to her.]

[starshower]

[She is all bright smiles as the rabbit eats from him, and she is about to give him the I told you so spiel when he holds out a kebab. She almost takes it but stops short and her eyes gleam.]

I don't have to let you feed me, do I?

[flamekthunder]

Only if you don't want me to.

[And yes he knows she's going to do that spiel so he might be pressing the meat at the top of the kebab against her lips on purpose—]

[starshower]

Hmm.

[She stares at the kebab in thought first before... she takes a bite from it, and though she tries to maintain eye contact with him, it's difficult as she deliberately nibbles on the vegetables.

Eventually, she does tear her eyes away with a laugh.]

You need to eat too, but I'm not sure you want me to feed you.

[flamekthunder]

[It really is like watching a rabbit...]

I won't mind.

[He'll even lean in closer as if to invite her to do so.]

[starshower]

[That was exactly the point, and she's glad that she got that across.

But when he leans closer in turn, she feels her face grow warmer as she looks around at the food, and then picks out something from the container of fruits. A strawberry, of course, that she lifts to his mouth, not quite pressing the end of it to his lips but coming close.]

Never heard of a rabbit feeding a wolf, but hope this doesn't end horribly.

[flamekthunder]

[A wry chuckle as he looks at her playfully.]

Worried I might want to "eat" something else?

[And he'll just take a nice bite out of that strawberry, his lips grazing her fingertips.]

[starshower]

[Oh, that is a bigger bite than she was expecting, so when his lips brush her fingertips, she stiffens ever so slightly. She holds his gaze for a few moments, and then lifts his plate to him.]

Maybe, but could I interest you in something else instead?

[Not in front of the bunnies!!!]

[flamekthunder]

What if I'm more interested in what's in front of me?

[Look at them, they're just munching away on the food not caring at all. Even the rabbit that was bothering him is bonking his leg again, and while still chewing on the strawberry he'll give the bold rabbit some food.]

[starshower]

Well, you're going to have to wait until later if you don't want to spoil your lunch or dinner...

[And then she's staring down at her lap because wow, she's even surprised that she managed to say that whole thing with a straight face.]
