Hmm, that might actually be fun.

[A little deeper that flush in her cheeks becomes, and she tries to distract herself by dabbing paint on the skull, though she does mess up a little bit.]

... A black one or a white one?

[At least in this case it's part of teasing her.]

[At least he'll give her a freebie on the "why" there.]

Uh huh...

[She pauses, trying to fix the part that she messed up, her concentration split between him and the skull as her brow furrows, but she gives it up with a groan and looks to him again.]

And I don't suppose there are other reasons you were so sure about your choice?

[Just a hint of a smile as he turns over his own skull, contemplating if it needs more or not.]

Well... You do like to hop around here and there.

What exactly do you mean by 'hop'?

[A small half shrug.]

Always doing one thing or another... Even when you're working in the kitchen or the bar, you're hardly ever in one place.

[She gives a small laugh at that, though it sounds more scornful than she means for it to.]

... This your way of also telling me I need to take breaks?

Could be.

[He sets down the skull before reaching for another.]

But I'd count this as a break...barely.

[Tifa is about to protest, but instead she stares down at the first skull and then... at her own.]

Wait, you're already finished one?

[Maybe if she would stop getting distracted...]

I kept it fairly simple.

[But yes, she should stop getting distracted. Hmmm maybe he'll try some neon paint this time. Let's do some reds...]

[She watches him for a moment...

Before smiling and scooting her chair over, the feet of it scraping against the deck as she moves it around so that she's sitting next to him.]

What have you managed anyway?

[flamekthunder]

[He looks at her in some surprise before looking at the one he just finished.]

Nothing special... Just a few patterns...

[And it really is fairly simple. There are evenly spaced dots lining around the skull along with some hash marks and simple designs to fill up the space. The main colors he used for the first were yellow, orange, red, and some green. Simple, yet a bit festive, with the insides of the eye sockets painted red to give it more of a "spooky" feel to it.]

[Her gaze lingers on him a moment before she's lifting up her own.]

... Maybe I'm overthinking it.

[With all of her intricate and very thin swirls and dots and designs that she's tried to put on there. It looks nice but it's definitely going to take her a while to finish.]

...Maybe. But yours still looks nice. Just depends on what you want it to look like.

I'm not even finished yet...!

[She dabs her brush into her paint and continues to draw the swirls above the eyes to make "eyebrows", not quite realizing that she's leaning a little closer to him.]

I wanted something fancy, but guess I'm going too fancy. At this rate, I'll only get the one done tonight.

[flamekthunder]

[He doesn't notice it either as he's returned to drawing on the skull.]

Just do it faster.

[So helpful. And said with a bit of tongue in cheek.]

[She narrows her eyes at him in mock offense...

Before she's suddenly dabbing a bit of blue paint on his cheek.]

[WELL.

THAT SURPRISES HIM.

Enough to make his eyes widen and look at her blankly for a moment before he's just going to poke her nose right back with the neon green he was working with.]

[Her mouth falls open at the sheer audacity of him, her nose scrunching when she feels that wet dab of paint on her nose.]

... That was payback for that cheekiness. What did I do?

You didn't think I'd return the favor, anyway?

[Have another dab on her chin.]

[She leans back a little, nearly dropping her skull when he does.]

You sure you don't wanna be putting this paint on yours?

[She's going to pay him back with another dab of blue, this time on his forehead.]

Or are you going to decorate me for Ghoul's Moon instead?

[Just as slight furrow of the brows at the feel of the brush, but he's not annoyed. They're already in it, and while he would prefer to not have paint at all, he finds himself not minding it so much.]

You did say you wanted a costume...

[There's a faint playful smile...and then another quick smudge on her cheek before he's leaning away and standing to move out of range.]

[She shrieks, the sound of it echoing across the empty ship, and she watches as he gets to his feet to move away.]

If you're gonna suggest a rabbit, the least you could do is paint me like one!

[She isn't going to give chase yet... Yet. She certainly does look like she's about ready to leap to her own feet any second, though.]

[He is being very wary and alert, though he still grins a bit a more.]

I already got the nose. Should I add whiskers?
