Who: Cidolfus Telamon & Benedikta Harman. Status: Closed. Where: The Roost, The Farplane. What: Cid and Benedikta move to a new house in the Roost. Event stuff later. Warnings: The usual. :)
[A sharper toss of a handful of feed further into the pool to finish off the food. Mostly so that she can turn around to face him, offering a pointed look.]
Like those horrid towels you had. And do not even get me started on the bed sheets...
Don't really have much planned to day if you want to go ahead and get started. If there's anything you want to go ahead and move, I can have a few people work on it while we're out.
[She has never been more eager to do something before, especially so on a day when she had fully expected to do absolutely nothing but lie in bed with him.]
While we are out, you may have your little minions move some of our smaller things up here. Things that we have no immediate need for.
[She hums into the kiss, content as can be, that happiness spilling over into the warm wind that caresses them, gently sweeping into the cave and back out.]
What did I tell you about calling me that...
[A light tease, a little graze of her teeth over his lips, and she gives his hands a squeeze.]
... But thank you, Cidolfus. For all of this.
[She truly wishes that she could say more, that she were good with words and could wax poetic about her feelings, but this will have to do.]
[He only half shrugs at that because he will certainly call her cute and adorable again in both the near and far future. But he still smiles fondly at her, nose brushing against hers as this is a special kind of joy that he wishes to savor.]
[And it was all she had been able to say as he showed her around the house, though it bears repeating anyway. Just so that he knows for certain that he had made the right choice.]
It is everything and more than what I could have wished for.
[She had many wishes, too, but this had blown all of her expectations out of the water.]
And... I do not think I have ever felt quite so... happy.
[His hand squeezes hers as his eyes shine just a little more.]
I've had my fair share of joys, but none quite like this.
[That isn't to say those others weren't just as meaningful in their own way, but this one is also its own special unique joy that cannot be compared equally to another. And if nothing else, it's been a long time since he felt like this. That excitement, that anticipation for a future that continues to build and build. A future that had just been in the distant reaches of dreams.]
After everything that they have been through, the years they have lost, being able to stand here and say that she is looking forward to their new home, eager to live in it with him... It is a big step, and an even bigger joy. It's hard in moments like this not to look back on everything, to feel a slight twinge of regret that they could not have this sooner, but it's all washed away by those waves of happiness that continue to come and go with every twinkle in his eyes, every smile he gives her.]
I feel the same.
[Her eyes glance away now, those emotions too heavy for her to continue to bear.]
I want to look at everything one more time before we go.
[He grins as he leads her around the pool, pausing only to check to make sure the "lid" of the storage box is secure.]
Aye, thought to tease you a bit with it.
[And similar to the overlook above, one side of the wall is covered with flowered vines, and it only takes a careful look to spot where to pass through. He'll hold the vines up so that she can walk through before following after. Just as he said, it's a smaller side tunnel and they can already see the main tunnel just ahead.]
[The fish flit after them as they leave, wandering along the pool until they no longer can, and Benedikta chuckles under her breath at them before they disappear, coming out through the other side when she ducks beneath the vines.]
How convenient.
[She pats him on the chest.]
Now, why don't you go call the crew, and I will meet you back home?
no subject
Precisely.
[She beams back at him before tossing more food, watching the fish for a moment.]
We will have to go shopping for new things.
no subject
[They already had to buy new things for the treehouse...!!]
no subject
Well, you can't very well get me a new house and not expect me to want new things...
[That doesn't answer his question, she knows.]
At least some nice new sheets and pillows, and perhaps some dishes...
[As her voice trails off.]
no subject
Suppose what we have were rather quick buys for the time. Rather, they were all things I had acquired before you moved in.
[And they weren't....bad, just obviously very on the practical side.]

Like those horrid towels you had. And do not even get me started on the bed sheets...
no subject
Come now, they were not so bad.
no subject
They were terrible. Made me feel as if I was sleeping in burlap.
[Okay, she is definitely overexaggerating, just like she had back then.]
As I recall, you quite enjoy the ones I picked out for us.
no subject
So why can't we just reuse them? They should fit the bed.
no subject
Well, it's not as if I will be throwing them away. We can still use them.
[They are very expensive luxury sheets, after all!!! And she is of the mind that one should never skimp on the things they sleep on.]
I just want fresh, new ones to go with the new home. ... For our first night.
no subject
Whatever you wish. You are the queen of this castle, after all.
no subject
[She leans in to give him a quick peck on his lips.]
When shall we go?
no subject

And we will return back up here at dusk? ... You did promise.
no subject
...Oh.
He can only look down at her for a moment before there's a helpless laugh and he leans in to kiss her fully and deeply on the lips.]
You are too adorable these days...
[A low murmur as he gazes down at her.]
But aye, we will, as promised.
no subject
What did I tell you about calling me that...

We can go through this exit here. Will take us right to that main path that leads up to the house.
no subject
I thought I felt a stray wind when we were wandering up here.
[And one more kiss for the road, her smile only widening, no matter the efforts she puts in to try and stifle it.]
Then lead the way. But I am keeping my eyes open this time.
no subject
