[Well dang it, she really hadn't thought this far.]

[She watches him approach carefully, like a little mouse trapped and looking for an opening to escape.]

And how is that a surrender? I was only being fair. I got you, and you got me back, yeah?

How do I know you aren't going to try and get revenge the moment my back is turned?

You'll just have to trust me.

[And now it's her turn to step closer. How daring of her.]

Just like I'll have to trust that you'll do the same.

[He won't move when she steps closer, instead just watching her with a playful gleam in his eyes and slight smirk of his lips.]

You know I'm an opportunist.

[A playful narrow of her eyes, and she brings her brush back around like a shield to defend herself.]

Does that mean I shouldn't trust you?

That's for you to figure out.

[HE RAISED THE BRUSH...

Only to swipe at the wall to add some color to it.]

[She feels herself wince slightly when he raises the brush, like she's preparing herself for another spray of paint...

Only for him to swipe it against the wall, and she looses all of the tension that had snapped up into her shoulders with a sigh.]

Alright, well. I'll head back over to my side of the wall and get started on the land by the water.

All right. I should be able to start working on the airship, and we should be able to work on the beach together.

[There is just the slightest narrowing of her eyes as she moves away from him, stepping backwards, her careful, watchful gaze never leaving him.]

Should I start with the sand?

[He's innocent~]

Sure. I can do the ocean and work down.

[Innocently reaching down to dip brush into his paint~]

[Her eyes still follow that paint brush, and she clutches her own a little tighter.]

Should add a little bit of colour to the water to make the reflection of the rainbow, too.

Mm, that would be good.

[And there will just be the slightest movement from his arm as if he would try to splatter her with paint again—

But instead his hand goes up to start painting the airship....

This is more fun than he thought—]

[This time, he actually gets a little shriek out of her and she dashes back a step, turning her body to shield herself from the paint splatter that never comes. And as he gets back to painting, she stomps her foot in playful indignance.]

You're doing that on purpose!

[Got some of that purple blue for the top part of the GC...]

Doing what?

[Innocent~]

Waving your brush at me like you're going to attack me again...!

What? Like this?

[And going to tease her by waving said brush at her, the paint just falling short of her.]

Yes, like that!

[And she is going to retaliate by flicking some paint at him, moving closer as she does and then hopping back.]

How am I supposed to get close without worrying you're gonna splash me?

[He just laughs, closing one eye as the paint splatters on him.]

That's only because you asked for it.

[Though he's going to do it again, a more deliberately flick of his brush to have the paint fly towards her.]

I didn't ask for anything. I only asked if you needed help with your half of the wall.

[And then proceeded to dab some paint on him, but that's neither here nor there! But she shrieks and giggles again when he flicks that paint at her and this time, she does approach him again, making sure to get an extra good spray of paint on him, getting the sandy brown colour all across his side, and even in his hair before she goes back to casually brushing strokes along the wall.]

Careful, or I might just paint on you for that. You're a nice enough canvas.

[He'll have turn when she does her counterattack, and he just laughs as he looks at her.]

Yeah?

[And then reach out with that purple to boldly streak across her cheek and neck.]

So are you.

[Well.

That's that.

Any compromise that she was willing to offer is all but gone the moment he streaks that purple over her face and neck, and she squeals with shock and maybe even delight when he does.]

You'll pay for that one...! You ruined my hair!

[And she lunges at him, wrapping one arm around his shoulders to trap him while the other tries to smear paint across his neck and cheek in return, practically hanging off him as she does—]

[He staggers a bit, a bit surprised she actually jumped him like that, but there's also laughter as he tries to move his head away.]

You did it first!

[And with an arm around her waist, he spins her around as he tries to paint her back, the brush reaching for wherever it can.]

[She squirms in an effort to get away from him, but it's a weak effort at best, as she kicks a foot and flails an arm and shrieks when he gets her with the paint... which only makes matters worse for her when it gets all over her arm, her side, her shoulder, neck, and other side of her face.]

Only a little bit! Now let go!
