Even Eustace feels a bit embarrassed to be caught like this, so he'll clear his throat and pull back to help Tifa up.]
We'll clean up the mess... But we might need some more point.
[The shopkeeper sighs again, though there is some amusement there before they head inside to bring them some supplies and paints. That they HOPEFULLY will use on the wall—
With the shopkeeper gone he looks at Tifa... And can't help but laugh.]
Looks like we got carried away...
no subject
[She stares up at him, her breaths quick and her cheeks rosy with laughter under all that colour, and as the shopkeeper heads back inside, she leans up to kiss him.]
I think this is pretty tame compared to all the other times.
no subject
[A wry grin as he returns that kiss, and he'll reach over to one of the few clean towels to try and wipe her face.]
What's the worst?
no subject
The worst... probably those Turkish delights. Or the gift boxes. At least here, we aren't stuck in anything.
no subject
I don't think the gift box counts since it basically trapped us. But the Turkish Delights are definitely up there.
[Well!! He can at least try and get some of it off until the shopkeeper comes back with better cleaning supplies, hopefully including a bucket of water. Or two.]
no subject
[She tilts her head up at him, smiling, not looking like she's very inclined to sit up yet.]
Why, what would you say was the worst?
no subject
Besides the Turkish Delights and this? Maybe... The vines.
[A different kind of mess.]
no subject
[It's her turn to now take that towel from him and dab him on the nose.]
Weren't there two incidents?
no subject
no subject
Maybe, but stuff like that keeps us on our toes. I've been feeling myself getting a little rusty.
no subject
[A wry grin because that sounds more like something he'd expect to hear from Beatrix of Zeta from his world.
But he'll just wipe over her eyes, smearing the purple paint there like some kind of eyeliner before he pulls back to sit up.]
no subject
Really? You don't think things have started to get too comfortable around here?
[Barring everything...else...]
no subject
Is it bad to be comfortable?
no subject
No, of course not. Maybe we just need to do a little bit of sparring to stay in shape. Not fighting in the paint.
no subject
Now that you mention it, I don't think we've ever sparred against each other, have we?
no subject
[She pushes herself up to her feet, paint dripping down her back and sending a ripple of cold shivers through her. Ah, that's wet and kind of slippery!]
But I guess that's something we should try doing sometime, huh?
no subject
Without the paint.
[Which is also a yes, yes they should. Though... Well.]
Maybe we should find a place to wash up instead... Though getting a change of clothes would be difficult. Can you continue like this?
no subject
What, did you think a little paint was going to stop me? If anything, I think you need more.
no subject
[Or any other health hazards. But mostly the cold part.]
no subject
[As if to make a point, she reaches down, takes a dab of paint from the messy pile that they've made, and smears it across the cheek that he'd just wiped clean.]
You worry too much.
[But it's cute and sweet and endearing and she loves him—]
Besides, you can just keep me warm if I start feeling worse.
no subject
And there's something of a wry look and a shake of his head as he watches her just smear that paint right over where he just cleaned. All that work for nothing!!]
If you're fine with it.
[But it's true he could just warm her up himself... Or be mean and have her use her own fire to do it—no he would take the opportunity.
For now, however, he looks back at the wall.]
At least we kept most of the paint on us.
[Some of it did splatter on the wall, but they're small dots and blobs, colors that don't ruin it and might even make it better. And it won't be much longer before the shopkeeper returns with more paint and towels.]
no subject
Her gaze follows his to the wall.]
Honestly? I think the paint that did get on the wall makes it better.
no subject
[A light grin.]
We should try and finish it then.
no subject
[She steps closer, lifting the towels between them with an amused gleam in her eyes.]
Don't wanna upset the shopkeeps, but I think we're off to a good start.
no subject
I think so, too. Think you can finish without making more of a mess?
