Right above the water, yeah?

[She laments the fact that she has to move away so that she can get the rainbow colours ready, but she'll start with the red and orange first.]

Then we can paint the reflection in the water, too.

[He'll have yellow and green ready to go when it's his turn.]

Reflection, huh? Getting a little fancy.

[Teasing of course.]

Is that bad? Not every day we get to paint a mural like this one, might as well go all out.

Not at all.

[He smiles a little more softly.]

I think it would look perfect.

[And in some ways perhaps symbolic. Reflections of their worlds, of themselves, of everything all within this one mural.]

[A lingering smile at him as she dips her brush in the red.]

How do you wanna do this, then? We do one colour each? Or... how about we each start at one end and meet in the middle?

[He contemplates for a moment and then shakes his head.]

Might be better if we do one color... I'm afraid if we try to meet our sides might be more crooked than a proper arc.

[He chuckles a little as he imagines how his might swing higher and hers lower.

...Or...]

Or we could do the same color, with one doing the top rainbow and the other on the reflection. We can start on the same side and meet at the end.

Hmm, let's do that.

[She kneels down a little so that she's about level with the water, and waves around her red-coloured brush.]

Won't get in each other's way.

[He looks down at her with some amusement before he's switched to getting the red paint to match. But before they start... He reaches out over to one end to dab just the tiniest bit of red paint.]

Marked an end point to make it easier for us so we don't miss each other.

[He's thorough okay—]

[Sometimes they need thorough, and while she is quite so in other things, this? Not so much. She's just having fun, so when he marks the tiny dab of red paint, she just grins up at him, amused, before she starts to paint the reflection, giving it a bit of a wavy look as it's in the water.]

Now who's the one getting fancy?

What, I just want to be sure we meet up properly.

[And he will also move to paint his red arch, glancing down at hers as he does.]

And you're the one being "fancy."

[She motions to her work with a sheepish yet playful look.]

It's supposed to be the water ripples!

[He just laughs quietly.]

I know. Maybe I should add some clouds or birds around the rainbow up here.

Mm, would make sense. But now I've gotta add more birds and clouds down here, too.

[SIGH. MORE WORK...]

[He just laughs, quiet and low like always.]

I was mostly joking, but now I really will.

[He looks down at her with a teasing grin.]

[She smacks him in the leg with the brush, getting a nice blotch of bright, vibrant red on there.]

Get to work on the rainbow first, mister. You're distracting me.

[Another chuckle as he's just going to nudge her a little with his knee to spread that paint onto her.]

You mean you wouldn't be distracted, anyway?

[But he's done red and now moving to orange.]

[She squeaks with a laugh, shoving his leg away so that she can catch up to him on the painting. She's taking longer because she has to add the ripples in the water!]

Well. You make for a pretty good distraction on any other day, I think, but you're being even worse today for some reason!

I don't see how I'm being worse.

[He says, knowing full well how he's being worse.]

Well, for one, you keep teasing me.

[She glances up at him briefly, a smirk tugging at her lip, and then leans back against his leg.]

And two, standing over me like this being cute like that isn't helping.

Isn't that something you should be used to by now?

[A smirk plays on his lips as he finishes the orange and moves to yellow. Hurry up and catch up to him, Tifa~]

And what do you mean "being cute"?

This.

[She gestures up at him, some paint spattering off the brush, but her eyes go wide when she sees that he's already moved on. She's just starting on the oranges and he's already on yellow!?]

You painting a rainbow over my head. Rabbits and wolves and airships... You ever think you'd be here doing something like this?

[In fairness, all he has to do is just swing his arm and he's done— But he is taking some time to make sure they don't overlap, but as they get smaller it'll go even faster.

And he'll just chuckle quietly as he takes a moment to look at everything before looking down at her.]

True... I don't think I ever would have imagined it. I'm sure anyone who knew me wouldn't believe it, either.

[And then a small pause as he continues to look down at her.]

But you know I'm only doing this because you are, right? Don't expect me to do the same with anyone else.

[Okay, maybe Lyria, but that's it.]

I didn't say it was a bad thing.

[A coy look up at him through her lashes, but she can feel her cheeks burning ever so slightly.]

The fact that you're only doing this with me just makes it feel that much more special.

[And he can see those reddening cheeks and grins a bit.]

There are a lot of things I only do with you.

[He does mean that in the everyday sense...but in other ways, too.]

[She hums, as if in thought, keeping her gaze focused on the rippling orange as she finishes the line. Time for yellow! She's catching up!]

Well. I think we should try finding more of those things.
