[He's contemplative for a moment, thinking he might understand as he thinks he's the same. He then smiles a little and brushes his thumb over her hand.]

But I mean it. I really am happy that we're doing this. We've known each other for a while, but I don't think we've ever done something like... this? I mean, there was the masquerade, but that was different.

You're right. Can't say I can promise we'll do this more often... But often enough.

[A playful grin before he closes one eye as if in a wink.]

I can only afford so many nice dresses anyway.

[She lets her smile widen all the way up crinkle in her eyes before she takes a sip of her drink.]

Did you and your crew never do anything like this? Not like a date, but everyone going out somewhere together?

You could wear the same dress and I wouldn't mind it.

But as for going out... Guess we did in the more recent months before I came here.

At his answer though, she tilts her head.]

Nothing too special, really... Usually we're all scattered for various missions, but when we had a large break and happened to be in the same area, we would meet for a drink or eat together.

That sounds so fun...

[There's a fond but distant look in her eyes as she thinks back to her own days like that.]

My "crew" was a lot smaller, but it was always nice when we could all get together for some drinks. Though not so spread out for missions like you guys must have been.

[Her smile turns a touch bittersweet.]

Didn't have to pay for anything. And it just felt nice to have everyone there with me.

[Though maybe she would if they needed a refill on their drink. Listen, it's just practical, okay!? And she's the best at it. Is it so wrong that she wants to give him the best!?]

But fine, not at the bar, then. Not sure what Avalanche had to do with it, though.

But if you had any particular requests, I would look into them.

Not everything has to be a big surprise.

[Though it is more fun when it is, he's right.]

But I'll have to get back to you on that. There were more places on Elah I wanted to visit, but... well, you know.

Well. I'd like to see more mountains. Places where we can see the stars more clearly. More coves like the ones we found on Latrommi. And... more places to shop for things we don't really see all that often in the markets around Eltrut.

[She breaks with a laugh.]

[There's a quiet smile as he shakes his head slightly.]

Not at all, and not too difficult to accomplish, either.

[There's a shy glance through her lashes at him.]

Bet if you looked hard enough, we could knock a few of them out at once.

Hmm... A place where there are more mountains with a clear view of the stars and some coves, with a large enough population to have a unique market.

[He can't help but quirk his lips at that.]

Oddly enough, there probably is an island just like that.
