[A wolfish grin.]
But I meant more...that no one should be allowed to.
[He then leans in a little closer.]
Boyfriend privilege only.
no subject
[She leans in, meeting him a little closer in turn, and she meets his gaze, holds it despite the very strong urge to fold under that rapture.]
You're right. Anyone else would've had their ass kicked.
no subject
Good. Though maybe even that is too generous...
no subject
Well, I can only do so much. Up to you to protect your bounty.
no subject
[A light smirk.]
Seems a bit too crass... Prefer to think of you as my "treasure" instead.
no subject
Before she throws her arm around his shoulder and kisses him fully on the lips. Pieces of her sandwich fall out from between the bread slices and onto the blanket, but she doesn't mind so much as she leans into him, her weight pressing close, a smile on her own lips as she seeks out his.
And only when she parts with a shy laugh does she whisper.]
Sorry. That might be one of the sweetest things anyone's said to me.
no subject
It does feel...a little embarrassing to admit, but it's true, isn't it? She's become something he cares for a lot, something precious. Not really someone he "hunted" for but someone he found and discovered to be more valuable than could ever be measured. Someone he would never want to lose...
Well. There's only one word for that, isn't there? A word that's likely existed from the start but difficult to really admit or accept... But a word that had to exist for him to get this far.
A word that almost escapes him as he looks at her but manages to keep it in for now.]
Then you've been around stupid people. But works in my favor, I guess.
[His lips brush against hers as he speaks in a low voice.]
You can't let anyone else say it, either.
no subject
Don't worry. I won't.
[It's murmured softly against his lips, her heart beating so quickly that she needs to pause for a breath.]
I treasure you too, you know...
[She doesn't get the chance to say it much, and she thinks that she should.]
no subject
But in an act of self restraint, he won't push it much more than, only parting when they need to breathe as his eyes continue to stare down at her with that heavier, darker look that could only mean so many things.]
...Getting a little carried away too early.
[A small, light grin, hinting at their distraction from the lunch.]
If we're not careful the rabbits might steal the food.
no subject
Ah, right, speaking of the food...
She pulls back from him with a sheepish, apologetic smile.]
Right, sorry. Sometimes I can't help myself...
[Her gaze rests on his lips again for a moment before she's sitting back a little further, but still close enough that they're touching, and she sees a bit of movement in the corner of her eyes, and lowers her voice to a whisper when there's a rabbit right next to her, its nose twitching as it sniffs at the food.]
I think you were onto something...
no subject
I heard them rustling.
[He then glances at her.]
If you want to leave them something you can... Just be prepared for the consequences.
no subject
[Tifa leans over and grabs a carrot from the container of vegetables that he prepared but doesn't hand it to the rabbit just yet. It does, however, hop slowly onto the blanket, staring up at her, curious.]
And I don't think I've got much of a choice now?
no subject
[Said in an ominous voice. But he still smiles anyway, amused.]
And no, you don't.
no subject
And then it starts to nibble.]
Oh my god, it worked...!
[Only she won't notice that a second bunny has come up on the other side of Eustace.]
no subject
Either way, he glances at the rabbit, and not wanting to scare it he'll just pick up a small red tomato that was closest to him and roll it over to it.]
no subject
[She's lowered her voice to a whisper, watching in awe as the rabbit snatches the rest of the carrot piece and munches.]
no subject
no subject
What makes you think so?
[As she nudges the rabbit closer to him with a piece of lettuce torn from her sandwich.]
no subject
[A slight twitch of his ear as the rabbit has finally approached the tomato he had rolled over to it and starts nibbling.]
Small animals like rabbits have always been wary around me... Just how I seem to them.
[He'll watch the rabbit for a moment, and the moment he slowly raises its hand the rabbit does flinch a little backwards. He glances at Tifa to be like, "See?"]
no subject
[She smiles at him fondly in response, undeterred by that look that he gives her.]
Maybe they can sense that caution.
no subject
[But he's breaking off a piece of carrot to try and hold out to the rabbit...
...
It does not approach. But it will continue to eat the tomato.]
no subject
I'm sure not all rabbits are scared of you... You just gotta find the right moment. And the right food definitely helps, too.
[She reaches into the container and takes out another carrot, setting this one down on the blanket, and another wanders close to take it before running off, a little more skittish than the rest.]
no subject
It's all right. They're better suited around you, anyway.
[The one closest to him still nibbling on the tomato just eyes the carrot, but that fourth rabbit he had heard will dart in to grab it before stopping a short distance. There is some chittering squeaks and Eustace grins amused as he sets out more pieces.]
no subject
And what's that supposed to mean?
