But it won't take long for her to break out into one of her own.]
Well... The glass seems quite hardy, so we can at the very least give it a few attempts. Magic or otherwise. Though, perhaps we should consider that a last resort.
[Given what happened to her first attempt.]

I'm sure it will come to us eventually.
[And then a chuckle.]
To be honest, it reminds me of what they say about artists. Putting their "soul" into their work.

[There's something of a fond look in her eyes as she removes her glass from the fire, spinning it around to get a better look at it before she sets it aside. She will come back to you later, funny looking Garuda.]
You put your soul into the things that you make too, yes?
no subject
[He spins the pipe in his hand a little a bit as he looks at it in thought.]
I suppose that's true. A certain "something" that makes it my own. Never really thought too much about it.
no subject
Never thought about what it was, or as you were doing so? I do often wonder what makes each thing you make so very you.
no subject
[A quiet chuckle at that as he waits for her to fire her first before putting his in.]
I mean, I suppose there might be some "signature" techniques or style I might employ, but nothing I consciously think about.
[He looks over at her.]
What makes you think something feels like "me"?
no subject
[She laughs, straightening, but she really does have to think it over.]
... I am not so sure. I suppose it is something that I just know, that I can feel when I hold something that you have made, especially when it is for me. Perhaps my own magic reacts to yours when you use it, or one can see a care put into things that many others don't bother with.
[Her cheeks flush a little, and she distracts herself with the glass, poking at it idly and uselessly with her stick.]
It could simply be that technique. You've a very particular look about your creations.
no subject
I didn't realize you paid so much attention.
no subject
Does that surprise you that I do? I may not understand all of that silly jargon and all of your drawings, but... I do quite enjoy seeing the final product.
no subject
[He steps up to her and brushes his lips against her cheek before there's a thoughtful hum.]
Perhaps I should try making this with you in mind.
no subject
So should I try making mine with you in mind? I would like to have both, you know.
no subject
Why not? Worth a shot at least.
no subject
Well, I will certainly be interested to see how your essence perceives mine, and vice versa...
[It is all a little silly in the end, but she is intrigued.]
Let us give it a try, then.
no subject
[He can't help but tease her a little as he winks at her before gathering his glass to melt.]
no subject
If a fish is what comes out when you think of me, I will throw you into the waters with them.
no subject
What if it's a pretty fish? Similar to how you were when you were a mermaid?
no subject
[She clicks her tongue and swats his arm gently.]
Stop thinking about it, or else it really will come out in the shape of one!
no subject
Then what about a bird? Would that be acceptable?
no subject
That depends on the bird. If it is a nice bird, then fine. But if it compares me to one of those gulls or geese, then I may have a word or two to say to your essence.
no subject
Like a harpy.
[Quickly moving away to the other side with his molten glass.]
no subject
—Cidolfus!
[And it is a good thing that she, too, is holding hot molten glass or else she would have chased after him. Instead, she flings some papers off his desk with a little gust of wind, sending them flying into a mess on the floor that he can pick up later.]
Just be quiet and blow into your pipe, you horrible man.

But he takes the ideas they were talking about and rather than focus on whatever the hell his "essence of the soul" is supposed to mean, he thinks of his usual motivations and inspirations that come when he's working. Not that he's ever really consciously thinking about it at the time, but as he thinks back there have been times when he's making something for her or for a purpose that certain thoughts and emotions come to mind. And when he thinks further on it, he feels that is when his projects take on something unique or, as she said, more characteristic of himself. Something that can't really be put to words but can be felt and seen at times. Whether it be the materials used, the type of cut or design, it's there.
So with some of that in mind, he also thinks about Benedikta while blowing through the pipe into the glass. Thinks of how he would actually like to gift this for her, and while he's certain it's going to look like a mess, he hopes he'd be able to recreate it and improve upon it. And so although at first it doesn't seem much different at first...]
Oh?
[He makes a sound when he notices that rather than just a cylinder or ball, there's some curves to it now!!!]
no subject
As she blows into the pipe, she can already see the glass starting to take shape, less of a circle and more of... something else. What that is, she doesn't quite know, but it elongates rather than bubbles out in all directions. She frowns at it, not quite sure what to make of it, when she glances at him.]
Did you manage something?

no subject
I... do not know. I think I may have something.
[Why does it look like it has eyes? And what is that thing sticking out of it?]
