If a fish is what comes out when you think of me, I will throw you into the waters with them.
no subject
What if it's a pretty fish? Similar to how you were when you were a mermaid?
no subject
[She clicks her tongue and swats his arm gently.]
Stop thinking about it, or else it really will come out in the shape of one!
no subject
Then what about a bird? Would that be acceptable?
no subject
That depends on the bird. If it is a nice bird, then fine. But if it compares me to one of those gulls or geese, then I may have a word or two to say to your essence.
no subject
Like a harpy.
[Quickly moving away to the other side with his molten glass.]
no subject
—Cidolfus!
[And it is a good thing that she, too, is holding hot molten glass or else she would have chased after him. Instead, she flings some papers off his desk with a little gust of wind, sending them flying into a mess on the floor that he can pick up later.]
Just be quiet and blow into your pipe, you horrible man.

But he takes the ideas they were talking about and rather than focus on whatever the hell his "essence of the soul" is supposed to mean, he thinks of his usual motivations and inspirations that come when he's working. Not that he's ever really consciously thinking about it at the time, but as he thinks back there have been times when he's making something for her or for a purpose that certain thoughts and emotions come to mind. And when he thinks further on it, he feels that is when his projects take on something unique or, as she said, more characteristic of himself. Something that can't really be put to words but can be felt and seen at times. Whether it be the materials used, the type of cut or design, it's there.
So with some of that in mind, he also thinks about Benedikta while blowing through the pipe into the glass. Thinks of how he would actually like to gift this for her, and while he's certain it's going to look like a mess, he hopes he'd be able to recreate it and improve upon it. And so although at first it doesn't seem much different at first...]
Oh?
[He makes a sound when he notices that rather than just a cylinder or ball, there's some curves to it now!!!]
no subject
As she blows into the pipe, she can already see the glass starting to take shape, less of a circle and more of... something else. What that is, she doesn't quite know, but it elongates rather than bubbles out in all directions. She frowns at it, not quite sure what to make of it, when she glances at him.]
Did you manage something?
no subject
no subject
I... do not know. I think I may have something.
[Why does it look like it has eyes? And what is that thing sticking out of it?]
no subject
Well whatever it is, perhaps it's proof that our thoughts are in the right direction. Let's keep going and see what happens.
no subject
Fair enough.
[So she continues to blow into her pipe, again and again, trying to focus more on certain memories and feelings about him than anything else this time. And by the time it's begun to take more shape, she pulls it out of the kiln one more time to turn it over in front of her eyes.]
What... the fuck...
[Is this an oddly and sadly shaped lightning bolt? It's so droopy. And what's more, there's a stick of some sort popping out of what looks to be... a face?]
no subject
But at her words he'll look up and over to her.]
Sounds like your "something" has developed in an interesting manner. Should I come over and see?
no subject
N-no!
[She turns around and immediately hides it from his view. Though there is no hiding the question or the panic in her expression.]
Just finish yours.
no subject
Really? Not even a peek?
[He's actually stepping a way to try and take a step or two closer to her—]
no subject
No, I believe this one is a failure. I am simply going to throw it out.
[Shoo!!!]
no subject
[And he still wants to see, so teasing her a bit by trying to lean to the other side to look past her—]
no subject
And it's all started to glaze over in different colours, as if it wasn't obvious enough already...]
no subject
Well—that's certainly unexpected.
[ALL RIGHT MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST THING TO SAY AT FIRST but it's quite...surprising!?]
no subject
Cidolfus! I said do not... I don't know what this is.
no subject
[Just rubbing his chin in contemplation as he peers closer, his head tilting this way and that.]
no subject
I swear this is not what I had in mind!
[That is to say that yes, yes it is.]
no subject
Before he...can't help but laugh.]
Is that what you think of me?
[He's trying to mimic the crooked smirk but is having difficulty because he's also laughing.]
no subject
No! Though at the moment, I suppose this glass lightning bolt looks handsomer than you—what is that face you are trying to make?
