[A chuckle comes at her words, as he can only imagine how he might have seemed.]

I would have tried to have you join me if you did.

[So is she sure she wants to do that—]

And I have been inspired by them a few times. But there are a few pools that they can swim through throughout the caves. Shame they don't go up to the one near the house.

[garudas]

Inspired by them? How so...?

[Has he created things that look like them??? As she thinks back to previous projects of his, nothing strikes her quite as ugly—]

[He laughs as he can already guess what she might be imagining.]

Mostly on some physical and dynamics applications. For instance, the way they moved their mouths gave me an idea on how to work with some hinges on a few projects. The way they swim has also given me some ideas for works dealing with underwater applications.

[garudas]

Those things?

[She motions to the glass and then downs a little more of her wine, as if she cannot believe she is having this conversation with him right now.]

Here I was afraid you were going to tell me that you had made things that look like them. Are there not any better creatures for you to study?

[ramuhs]

Oh I am sure there are, but none that are so close.

[A playful wink followed by a smug sip of his wine.]

You are indeed a strange man, do you know that?

[Her chuckle echoes into her glass.]

Just as long as you are aware that it needs to stay in the workshop. Or somewhere else that is not our mantle.

[ramuhs]

And you married that strange man.

[A teasing wink.]

But what's so wrong having it on full display? In fact, perhaps I should make it the crew's official mascot...

[garudas]

[She shoots him a glare over her glass.]

The gryphons might have something to say about that. As will I.

[A wave of her hand.]

I will have to find myself another crew.

[ramuhs]

[He moves in closer to her.]

You wouldn't dare.

[garudas]

Oh, you do not think I would?

[She's totally bluffing right now, but she grins at him over her glass.]

Try me.

[ramuhs]

[He knows she is, so he's going to see how far he can push her.]

Well, if you're going to go to another crew, I suppose you won't be needing the house.

[SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP.]

[garudas]

[She almost knocks that wine glass right out of his hand, but instead, she reaches up to wrap her fingers around the ring on his.]

Well, it was not as if I planned to unmarry you, but if you intend to put that thing inside the house, then I suppose I will have no choice.

[ramuhs]

[He's quietly chuckling, a low rumble in his throat as his hand lowers.]

Can you truly not open your heart to it?

[What if he gives her bit pouty eyes.]

[garudas]

[She stares into those pouty puppy eyes for a moment, and she almost breaks. Almost...]

No. Should you wish for me to stay, you will need to find someplace else for it. Unfortunately, it is me or the fish.

[ramuhs]

[A dramatic sigh.]

Torn between two loves, what is a man to do?

[garudas]

[She stretches back over the table, looking ridiculous in this apron rather than alluring, and sets her glass down with a toss of her hair.]

I am certain that I could convince you.

[ramuhs]

Oh?

[He slowly swirls his almost empty glass as he eyes her. Ridiculous, yes, but she could wear a garbage back and he'd still think her the most beautiful woman in the world.]

And how would you do that?

[garudas]

Hmm...

[Stretching over the table, tilting her head back and staring at him from below her lashes with a sweet smile.]

We still have one more glass charm to attempt, so why don't I show you later?

[ramuhs]

[A low chuckle as he sets down his glass near hers, now moving over so that his hands can brace the table on either side of her as he looms over her.]

Even if I see a different kind of "piece" I'd like to work on?

[garudas]

[She had a feeling he might do something like this, and she hooks one of her ankles behind his, locking him in place as she stares up at him, a low flame burning in her eyes. Not at all surprised, and yet she finds herself unprepared for the feelings that he provokes all the same.

As she once again almost gives in.]

You do know what they say about saving the best for last. You would not want to rush that piece, would you?

[Her smile spreads.]

Though, I do have one little request.

[ramuhs]

[He's leaning in closer, close enough that their breaths will meet.]

And that would be?

[garudas]

[Well, at least they will both get what they want, especially when he moves closer. Her eyes close, and he'll feel her shiver with want against him as her lips brush his.]

I do require some sort of reminder of what our essence is... if I am to make an accurate glass charm. You should have one as well.

[ramuhs]

[A low hum as his eyes gleam, and slowly moving to run up her thigh.]

And what kind of "reminder" do you think you need?

[garudas]

[She huffs a sigh, her leg lifting ever so slightly against his hand.]

Just something simple for now, I think. Would not want to put too much of it in there, now would we?

[A knowing arch of her brow, because she knows exactly where this will go.

She lets her eyes flutter shut anyway.]

A kiss might do.

[ramuhs]

[She is very right in knowing where this would go, and his hand teases further as it slides up more, that familiar tingle of warmth already there.

But—]

If it's just a kiss then...

[He'll lean down.


And lightly peck her on the lips before pulling back with a smirk.]
