[She does flinch a little when he swipes her nose with his brush, a small squeak leaving her before she takes a wide step back, holding up her own dripping brush to defend herself.]

What was that for!?

[flamekthunder]

For whatever you were planning with that.

[And he's just going to wave his brush at the one she's holding—and not quite realizing how the paint is going to splatter her a bit. Not a lot, just a few drops, but it may get on her cheek and on the apron a little.]

[starshower]

[This time she does flinch against the splatter of paint, wiping her cheek with the back of her hand and smearing the paint some more.]

Well, I was going to offer my help, or ask if you wanted to help with mine, but now...?

[After a moment or two, she reaches up and leaves a giant splat of paint on his front and runs away—]

[flamekthunder]

Oy—! You—

[AHA HE KNEW IT!! And he's going to try and chase her, his arm reaching out to swipe at her back!!]

[starshower]

Eustace—!

[She shrieks with laughter as she tries to run, but he manages to leave a long strip of paint down her back, some of it getting into her hair. Not that she minds because she definitely started it, but with nowhere for her to run...]

Alright, you got me. Truce?

[She raises her hands in surrender.]

[flamekthunder]

[He just snorts.]

Giving up so soon?

[Which is a no as he just takes the opportunity to flick more paint at her.]

[starshower]

[She shields herself, albeit poorly, the paint getting all across her front anyway, and it even splatters a bit on the wall beside her.]

I never said I was giving up! I am proposing a truce. A deal, not a surrender.

[flamekthunder]

And what are the terms?

[starshower]

[Well dang it, she really hadn't thought this far.]

There are none? It was an eye for an eye.

[flamekthunder]

Sounds like a surrender to me.

[Just going to step in closer.]

[starshower]

[She watches him approach carefully, like a little mouse trapped and looking for an opening to escape.]

And how is that a surrender? I was only being fair. I got you, and you got me back, yeah?

[flamekthunder]

How do I know you aren't going to try and get revenge the moment my back is turned?

[starshower]

You'll just have to trust me.

[And now it's her turn to step closer. How daring of her.]

Just like I'll have to trust that you'll do the same.

[flamekthunder]

[He won't move when she steps closer, instead just watching her with a playful gleam in his eyes and slight smirk of his lips.]

You know I'm an opportunist.

[starshower]

I do.

[A playful narrow of her eyes, and she brings her brush back around like a shield to defend herself.]

Does that mean I shouldn't trust you?

[flamekthunder]

That's for you to figure out.

[HE RAISED THE BRUSH...

Only to swipe at the wall to add some color to it.]

[starshower]

[She feels herself wince slightly when he raises the brush, like she's preparing herself for another spray of paint...

...

Only for him to swipe it against the wall, and she looses all of the tension that had snapped up into her shoulders with a sigh.]

Alright, well. I'll head back over to my side of the wall and get started on the land by the water.

[flamekthunder]

All right. I should be able to start working on the airship, and we should be able to work on the beach together.

[starshower]

[There is just the slightest narrowing of her eyes as she moves away from him, stepping backwards, her careful, watchful gaze never leaving him.]

Should I start with the sand?

[flamekthunder]

[He's innocent~]

Sure. I can do the ocean and work down.

[Innocently reaching down to dip brush into his paint~]

[starshower]

[Her eyes still follow that paint brush, and she clutches her own a little tighter.]

Should add a little bit of colour to the water to make the reflection of the rainbow, too.

[flamekthunder]

Mm, that would be good.

[And there will just be the slightest movement from his arm as if he would try to splatter her with paint again—

But instead his hand goes up to start painting the airship....


This is more fun than he thought—]

[starshower]

[This time, he actually gets a little shriek out of her and she dashes back a step, turning her body to shield herself from the paint splatter that never comes. And as he gets back to painting, she stomps her foot in playful indignance.]

You're doing that on purpose!

[flamekthunder]

[Got some of that purple blue for the top part of the GC...]
