Who: Cidolfus Telamon & Benedikta Harman. Status: Closed. Where: The Roost, The Farplane. What: Cid and Benedikta move to a new house in the Roost. Event stuff later. Warnings: The usual. :)
[His eyes just follow her with that familiar heat—but she's not wrong, unfortunately. There's still more he wants to show her and they can't always be going at it like rabbits with every chance they get—
However, he will tease her by pulling her back, hands still firmly on her hips as if to lock her place.]
[She lets herself be pulled back, "stumbling" into him and bracing herself with her hands on his chest where she now loops the laces of his shirt around and around her finger. Whoops, how did they get there?]
Of course not. You know I cannot leave you waiting for long.
[There's a slight cant of her head, her eyes teeming with a more tender fondness beneath that heat.]
[His gaze softens as he leads her to that second room, which will a good size with plenty of space for the both of them.]
I only plan to have an office desk, something I know you quite enjoy.
[A grin as he teases her, leaning in a bit to bump her shoulder.]
Just a place to store documents I'd prefer here than down in the old house that will be turned into more of a "Main Office" for the crew at large. It'll also let me do some work here than stay stuck down there. But none of my engineering work outside of some planning.
[A quiet laugh at that.]
That will remain in the workshop.
So there will plenty of space for shelves of books and your own space to be comfortable in. Perhaps my desk over here and a "nest" for you over there.
[Look at him, he's already making floor plans, just like he did with the treehouse.]
[He is already so well prepared, and she can only look at him, impressed, as they wander into the empty room. It's a fair size, bigger than she expected, and as he mentions each and every little detail he's thought of, her eyes dart around, trying to imagine what that might look like.
A cozy little space for the both of them to share, and only them.
Really, she couldn't have asked for anything more.]
I will have to get more books to fill the space, then.
[Her gaze is soft, affectionate, as she turns to him again.]
[He grins as he sees her expression, happy to know that she's pleased with it before he tugs on her hand.]
C'mon, there's still our bedroom, and I think you'll like it quite a bit.
[The room itself is not far from where they are, in fact it's right across the hall. And the reason he believes she'll like it is the moment he opens that door, she'll see a large bay window with a bench that faces the back of the cave where the waterfall fountain is. With it still being daylight, the light from the skylight can also be seen pouring through from above, the flowers that grow along the vines on the wall sparkling from the water droplets that catch on their petals.
The room is also large, larger than they've had yet, and there are two sets of doors: one that leads to the adjoining bathroom, and the other for a small walk in closet. Nothing too grand given size limitations, but still bigger than what they had before.]
There's a curious arch of her brow at that, but she follows him nonetheless, taking one last glance of the study before they leave it. Her eyes dart in all sorts of directions, still taking in their new home and every little detail within, trying to bite back the smile as she does. It's a difficult thing, that, because with each step through, that bubble of happiness swells, nearly ready to burst.
And it does when they walk into the spacious bedroom, her smile blooming all the way across her face when she can no longer contain it. It may not be the biggest bedroom, but it is certainly leagues bigger than what they have had, to be sure. But she's quickly realizing that, as she holds his hands, she doesn't need much more when he is there with her.
She drags him along into the room, towards the bay window that looks out to the fountain outside.]
However did you manage this!? It's so bright and... spacious...
[He just laughs, grinning as her joy is so clear, making him once again feel that bubble of pride.]
I can't take all the credit, the house was already here so it already had the foundation and layout as you see it. All I had to do was get the experts to carve out out more of the wall to create this seating area, knowing you would enjoy the view.
Shame it couldn't be in the office, but this works just as well.
[An inquisitive hum as she glances back at him, and then out the window again.]
I do not mind the view here. Considering how much time we spend in our bedroom... [A knowing, suggestive arch of her brow at him.] I daresay that this is perfect. Besides...
[She steps closer to him now.]
The view from the study seems fitting, don't you think?
[She opens her mouth, an amused glint in her eye, and she considers making a joke about the size of the room not fitting the bed she'd want, but...
As she looks at him, the pride and the tenderness in his eyes, she cannot bring herself to say anything but the truth.]
I love it. Genuinely and truly. [A soft laugh under her breath.] I'd thought that I'd be wanting some place bigger, more luxurious... but I've discovered that is not true.
Perhaps not, but I would like to hear if there's anything missing.
[And he will indeed lead her through the door where a full bathroom awaits. Again, it's not the largest thing and it's barely larger than what they already have. Not so surprising given these buildings were built so long ago and with limited real estate.
But because of that, the house actually uses portions of natural rock formations, the kitchen and the bathroom sharing the same cavern wall that the house was built up against. And just like in the kitchen, the main amenities use the formations to their advantage. Most notably, along the curved, rocky wall there is a small shower as well as a large step in tub set in in the back.]
Still have to share one sink, unfortunately, but there is space for a vanity over there by that small alcove.
[He might not think it so surprising, or anything worth gushing over, but the moment that Benedikta walks in, she is slammed with awe all over again. He comes up with something wonderful, and then continues to one-up himself.]
... I think I will forgive the one sink...
[Her eyes are wide as she observes that stone tub, larger than the one that they have now. He's pulled along, of course, as she runs her fingers over the walls, over the counter, the sink...]
I feel as though I should have something more clever than "I do not know what to say", but...
no subject
You know that you always drive a hard bargain that I can never say no.
[A suggestive shove of her hips to his...
...
....
Before she's pulling back a little.]
But that will have to wait.
no subject
However, he will tease her by pulling her back, hands still firmly on her hips as if to lock her place.]
Not for too long, I hope?
no subject
Of course not. You know I cannot leave you waiting for long.
[There's a slight cant of her head, her eyes teeming with a more tender fondness beneath that heat.]
And you call me the impatient one?
no subject
Or maybe I'm just trying to make you impatient.
[And with that smirk he pushes her to the side so that he can sidle out from the side.]
no subject
Ah, but you forget. Aren't I always impatient?
[With a light scoff, she follows after him, not letting him get far.]
Now, what else do I have to see? I've yet to check the bedroom.
no subject
There's two of them. Well, technically two. The other room can be used for an office instead, or whatever we so choose.
no subject
You mean your office...? How many is that now?
[She's only teasing.... mostly....]
no subject
no subject
Do you mean for the both of us?
no subject
[His gaze softens as he leads her to that second room, which will a good size with plenty of space for the both of them.]

[A quiet laugh.]
Suppose it is. Better to keep an eye on everyone.
[He then wraps his arm around her waist and looks at her.]
...Do you like it?
no subject
[There's a look of surprise as her arms go around his waist in turn.]
The room? Or the house?

I'm glad...or I would have been in a tight spot.
[A laugh at that, hand swinging hers a bit.]
no subject
[She bumps her forehead against his before looking around the room again.]
What, it's not as if you had to purchase this house, is it?
no subject
[A quiet laugh as he tugs her in closer, his eyes shining.]
You haven't even checked the bathroom yet.
no subject
[A nudge of her head, as if to tell him to lead the way.]
