[He's actually a little surprised to see her looking upset and he steps away from where he is to walk up to her.]

You did look busy.

I... don't know... Was I?

[She reaches out for his hand as he wanders over to her, and she takes them both in hers.]

I guess I was. I've been trying to make things seem so much more normal that I maybe I buried myself in work again...

[flamekthunder]

...Seems to be a bad habit of yours.

[A light poke to the head.]

But I can be the same, so I understand. I never remember own birthday, but that's more that I don't really care as much about it.

I'm... sorry.

[Her expression droops, but there is a little tick up at the corners of her lips, a subtle smile forming.]

Is that why you came by the ship?

[flamekthunder]

Don't be.

[Another little poke.]

But it is. I was going to go about this differently, but... Didn't expect to see you overworking yourself.

[She scrunches her face at that poke.]

Wait...

[Oh, now she feels even worse about this...!]

Did you have plans? I didn't ruin them, did I?

Not really. I just would have properly invited you out instead of just taking you.

But maybe you prefer it this way?

Hmmm...

[A coy smile plays at her lips, and she takes a step closer.]

Maybe I do prefer it like this.

[And then, a dramatic flourish.]

Oh no, where could the wolf be taking me? Someone heeelp...

[There's a snort and as he smirks at her.]

There won't be anyone coming, so just better make yourself comfortable.

[And to play a little into the role, his arm goes around her waist and pulls her around to press her up close to him.]

You're mine now.

[starshower]

[She gasps dramatically as he pulls her close, but the sound turns into a giggle, as some of that tension leaves her and is carried away in the wind.]

And how am I supposed to do that if I'm being kidnapped?

I could just tie you up and leave it at that.

[Or would she like that—]

However, if you can convince me you won't get into trouble, I might let you roam around.

[starshower]

[The way her cheeks flush might answer that question.]

Well, what else am I going to do out here? Who's going to come and help me? Unless there's something you don't want me to see.

[It does indeed answer that question.]

Nothing to hide here. Just don't try to jump off the boat to swim away.

[She wiggles playfully against him, like she is trying to "break free".]

I'll try my best not to.

[And now that playfulness turns into an apology in her eyes.]

Can't believe you had to do all that just to have me forget.

[He just tightens his hold on her... Before he just shakes his head.]

It wasn't really that much...and remember, I forgot my birthday earlier, too.

That's true.

[She waves a finger at him.]

And yet here you are, scolding me for doing the same!

[Before he can remind her again of her bad habits—]

So, where are we going anyway?

[flamekthunder]

[Oh he was definitely ready to say something, and his eyes carry that message loud and clear before he looks outward towards the horizon.]

Not too far. There's a small island nearby that I thought you might like, so I prepared a kind of birthday picnic there...

[He looks at her.]

But I'm changing the plans. You're not going back until I let you.

[starshower]

[Tifa's brows arch up, and she follows his gaze out to the water.]

You say that as if I'd be eager to go back now that I'm out here...

[flamekthunder]

Depends if you'd have wanted a change of clothes or not.

[starshower]

[She shrugs.]

At least I remembered to put on clean clothes this morning, but... I don't know. Do I need a nice dress for this little adventure you're taking me on?

[flamekthunder]

Fortunately no. But if we're gone for a few days you may get tired wearing the same shirt the whole time.

[starshower]

A few days!?

[She looks down at herself, and then laughs quietly.]

Well, I guess if I ever do get tired of it, I could always ask someone to come drop off some stuff for me.

[flamekthunder]

As if I'd tell them where you are.

[A smirk.]

But I could always grab something... Or you just borrow something of mine and make do.

[starshower]

[She is about to agree when he tacks on that last part, and she blushes furiously.]

I mean... I wouldn't mind it.

[His clothes are very comfortable.]

But would still be nice to have something of mine... just in case. That's not to say that I don't— [You know what.] Let's just worry about that later.

[flamekthunder]

[He just chuckles at that, as if knowing she would react this way.]

There won't be anyone around if that helps.

[And just casually steps in closer to her, but it also looks as if he might have a purpose. Like on a hunt.]
