[She only laughs softly at his comment because yes, she already knew what the surprise was, but that had been about all she did know. This was a project that he had taken on himself, and all of the details were a mystery to her, including the location. That, and she thought it cute that he had wanted to surprise her like this, and so she went along with it. More and more, she finds herself going along with his silliness these days...

But as his hands fall away from her eyes for the reveal, what she was expecting and what she sees in front of her are two very different things. Her life as of late has not left her wanting for much else, but this is far more than she could have asked for. The cobblestone walls, the flowers, the sound of trickling water from somewhere, the sun that shines in through the large skylights above...

She can feel the breeze coming through, and after a wide-eyed glance at Cid, she follows it, only to spot the opening that looks over the rest of the caves where they live now.

And then back to the house she wanders, taking it all in wordlessly, because really, she's far too awestruck at the moment to say much of anything. Her eyes naturally go up to the skylights as she stands in a circle of sunlight, allowing the cool breeze to wash over her. It's a conflicting feeling, that, but...]

Cidolfus...

[She turns to him, the sunlight washing her surprise in a warm glow.]

This is... perfect.

[ramuhs]

[His smile widens as he watches her, noting her expression as she takes it all in and feeling a bit of pride by how clearly taken she is.

Stepping up to her, places his arm around her waist to guide her further around.]

There's still quite a bit to show you.

[And before stepping inside the house, he'll take her around to the other side so she'll see the small fountain pool on that far wall where the sound of water had come from.]

Still working on it a bit, but this is fresh water that runs from outside and continues through the cavern through a small tunnel inside the pool. The house has plumbing installed, but this is where our water will be coming from.

[garudas]

[He should be proud, and she will be sure to tell him as much when she finds the proper words to do so. At the moment, she is still stunned, especially so when he leads her around to the other side. On the way, she takes in the flowers, the sides of the house, tries to peek into one of the windows, and when they arrive at the small fountain pool against the wall, she is rendered speechless once more.

Finally, after a few more moments of looking around, taking it all in, she finds her voice again.]

Is this what has been keeping you so busy?

[ramuhs]

Just one of many.

[He grins as he lets her take it all in.]

Fortunately a lot of this was already here, so it was just a matter of cleaning it up and ensuring everything was stable. It also helps we have a few members who have become something of "stonemasons" after living here for a time.

[garudas]

Of course...

[She turns to face him more fully now, her arms going around his shoulders as she draws him in for a kiss. A sweet, lingering one that says all the things that she still has yet to find the right words to say to express it all, but for now, this will have to do.]

You have somehow outdone yourself again, Cidolfus. And I have not even seen it all yet...

[ramuhs]

[He smiles against her lips, arms going around her waist to pull her in closer. Really, it was just another house and yet... He does feel rather proud about this. It's on par to them finishing the treehouse, something that makes it really feel like they are continuing to advanced through these new chapters in their life together.]

Want to see the inside then? It's mostly finished, just need to move everything in.

[garudas]

Yes...

[She is finding it very difficult to let go of him right now, so he is going to have to make do with this and move them inside.]

You will have to show me what's further down those tunnels after, too.

[The place where the scent of flowers is coming from...]

[ramuhs]

[A quiet laugh.]

Ever impatient. I'm saving the best for last.

[And he just grins as he takes her hand and leads her to the front door, though as they walk around the house she'll notice there is another door that exits out of the back.

Once inside, she'll see that it is indeed quite bare as he warned, but that just gives it more of that "new home" feeling, similar to their tree house. The front door opens up to a large space that would likely be the main living area given the fireplace on one side of the wall and the sunlight pouring through the skylight above. From there there is an exit leading towards the dining and kitchen area and another that goes out to a hallway that would lead to two more rooms. One would be the main bedroom with a full bathroom attached, and the other could be used for an office or bedroom. There is a second, smaller separate bathroom that any guest could use.]

[garudas]

[She is only this impatient when it comes to matters of them. She wants to know what he's up to, the anticipation only growing as he leads her by the hand inside. She follows, practically hanging off of him as he takes her through the front door, and just like outside, she is just as awestruck by what she finds inside. It's small, but not too small. It's more quaint than anything, but it is bright with sunlight as it filters through the skylight above the living room and the windows all around. A stark contrast to their current home in the cave.]

Cidolfus...

[It's her turn now to lead him, tugging him along as she heads further inside, pausing in the living room to admire the skylight in the ceiling, standing in light.]

This is... everything that I had wanted. Everything that I had asked for...

[ramuhs]

[Again he smiles with that warm pride as he watches her. He was fairly confident that she would like it, but there was always the question of whether it would really be enough or if there could be something else. So to see her again so pleased and in awe of it helps alleviate some of those doubts.]

I tried to keep everything you've told me in mind. But if there's anything you want to change, just say the word and I'll do my best.

[garudas]

No. It is perfect.

[She shakes her head and pulls him with her over to the next room—the kitchen, and she smirks over her shoulder at him, playful and light.]

It seems to meet all of my demands so far.

[ramuhs]

[He laughs as he lets her lead him.]

I did add a few improvements to make things easier for us here. I am ninety-nine point nine percent confident the oven won't blow a new hole in the wall.

[Hahaha he's joking.



Yeah he's joking.]

[garudas]

[She whirls around to him at that, and her eyes dart to the oven and back.]

I thought you tested it!?

[She doesn't know he's joking.]

[ramuhs]

I did, I did!

[garudas]

[She shoots him a suspicious narrow of her eyes.]

You and I are not equipped with the proper magic to put out a stove fire should it blow a hole in the side of the wall.

[A huff, as she takes on a more playful stance again.]

I will not be made responsible for it when I am making those cakes for you and everyone comes around asking questions.

[ramuhs]

[He just laughs as he holds up his hands.]

I will take all the blame, though I imagine those cakes would taste just as wonderful as the others.

[He winks before his arms fall.]

But I give you my guarantee that it will operate safely.

[garudas]

[Do not get started, that is the last time she is bringing them up, but she turns to him and catches his hands in hers as they fall to his sides.]

Good, because you promised we would cook things together.

[ramuhs]

And we will.

[His smile softens as his fingers tighten around hers.]

Many new and different things.

[garudas]

We will have to celebrate... Just the two of us...

[She takes a step closer, until her body is nearly flush against his.]

Perhaps your favourite stew to break in the new kitchen?

[ramuhs]

[With their hands still joined, he brings them to her hips, an amused smile on his lips as he looks down at her.]

And what of yours?

[garudas]

What of mine?

[An arch of her brow.]

You are not thinking of making me my favourite dish, too? After all you've already done?

[ramuhs]

Of course I am. Who says we can't have both?

Or perhaps we should consider a meal that is a favorite for the both of us?

[garudas]

Well, we can only have one first meal in the new kitchen...

[She leans in, her nose brushing his.]

Besides... have you not done enough for me?

[ramuhs]

No.

[The answer comes quickly as his lips brush close against hers.]

And even if I have, I will still do more.

[garudas]

[How did she get so lucky, she continues to ask herself, a content hum leaving her as she presses her lips to his a little more firmly.]

Alright, fine.

[She will give in this one time...]
