Who: Cidolfus Telamon & Benedikta Harman. Status: Closed. Where: The Roost, The Farplane. What: Cid and Benedikta move to a new house in the Roost. Event stuff later. Warnings: The usual. :)
[One moment, she's watching the piece of paper flutter in the wind and the next, her feet leave the ground as she's lifted into his arms. Her sound of surprise echoes through the little grove, over the flowers and through the leaves, but it softens to quiet laughter soon enough as she lowers her forehead to rest against his.]
[She lets her nose brush the tip of his, her lips coming close. Her arms wrap around his shoulders, and she kicks her feet up.]
You are too much sometimes...
[Said fondly, of course. She quite likes it when he is, even if she might pretend otherwise.
But as he continues to hold her, and as his warmth envelops her further, she feels her expression fall, and she speaks the thought that comes forth carefully.]
I... wish to make the most of our lives here, you know.
[He lifts her up a little higher to make her more eye level, and while there is warmth in his gaze, there's also a hardness, a resolve and seriousness that wasn't there before.]
I want whatever will let us be together for as long as possible. If that includes an afterlife such as this—then aye, I do.
[He relaxes again as he lightly nuzzles her, lips and nose brushing against her skin.]
I think a nice little home on a hill where we can just have that long retirement plan would be a good start. I'm sure by then we'll be tired of the chaos of living.
[And then a more teasing smile as his lips move closer to her ear for a quiet murmur.]
[His hand runs up the back of her neck and through her hair, cradling her in his arms.]
It's a lot to take in for me, too. But we won't be back here for some time yet, so we don't have to think about it anymore. Just knowing it exists is enough.
no subject
Not now, and certainly not here—
[When the time and the place is right!!!]
no subject
I suppose I can grant you that wish.
[A playful waggle of his brows.]
no subject
How very thoughtful of you.
[She pouts playfully at him before she's grabbing hold of a branch and tugging it down so that he may tie their wish to it.]
no subject
[Teasing her still, he ties the paper carefully, eyes lingering on it before he suddenly turns to grab Benedikta by the waist and lift her up.]
no subject

Must you always do this...?
no subject
Why not?
no subject
You are too much sometimes...
[Said fondly, of course. She quite likes it when he is, even if she might pretend otherwise.
But as he continues to hold her, and as his warmth envelops her further, she feels her expression fall, and she speaks the thought that comes forth carefully.]
I... wish to make the most of our lives here, you know.
no subject
I know, as do I. And while things may not have been quite smooth sailing... I think we've done quite a bit so far.
[He gently kisses the top of her head.]
With yet more still to come.
no subject
All of this... has me thinking...
no subject
[His is voice is quiet as he looks at her.]
What is it?
no subject
[She chews on her lip, unsure if there's any better way to say it.]
Do you think this is where we will be living out the rest of our days?
no subject
He looks at her for a moment and then he looks out around them, his gaze growing distant for a moment.]
Would it be so bad if it were?
[With a quiet, soft voice he looks back at her.]
I know it's strange to think about, but given our circumstances... I think it's something to consider.
no subject
[Her answer comes as a soft mumble against his skin.]
Is that what you would want?
no subject
I want whatever will let us be together for as long as possible. If that includes an afterlife such as this—then aye, I do.
no subject
I had hoped you would say that.
[Her nose brushes against his cheek.]
What sort of life would you want? Here...
no subject
I think a nice little home on a hill where we can just have that long retirement plan would be a good start. I'm sure by then we'll be tired of the chaos of living.
[And then a more teasing smile as his lips move closer to her ear for a quiet murmur.]
Especially if we do raise a family of our own.
no subject
I am already tired of the chaos.
[She laughs as she leans back in close again.]
And you think we could be happy? Like those two...? Spending an eternity together...
no subject
[He hugs her close at that.]
Unless you grow tired of me by then.
no subject
[Her arms slide tighter around his shoulders, and she buries her face in his hair, breathing in his scent as if she means to memorize it.]
It is just a lot to take in is all. All of this... afterlife. Knowing that... this is where we will both be.
no subject
[His hand runs up the back of her neck and through her hair, cradling her in his arms.]
It's a lot to take in for me, too. But we won't be back here for some time yet, so we don't have to think about it anymore. Just knowing it exists is enough.
no subject
[She moves in to kiss the crinkles at the corners of his eyes.]
We've still a long life ahead of us outside of this place to live first. ... But it does not seem so terrible. Not as I thought.
no subject
no subject
[But her arms don't seem so inclined to loosen around his shoulders.]
Where do you want to go?
no subject
Should we walk around here? The view's rather nice.
[And he's already starting to walk.]
no subject
We are going to walk like this? Are you certain you are up to the task?
