Lord and Lady of the skies, I should hope that you did...

[A fond smile as she turns to face forward again, more of that tension easing out of her shoulders.]

But we could practice together. That field behind our house ought to be a fine enough place for that...

[It's private, and not far. For practice, she thinks it would work.]

[ramuhs]

[There's a small look of revelation at that.]

That would work, aye. Plenty of space even beyond it.

[They really do have a rather large "backyard" in that sense.

But even though she's turned away, he still smiles and hugs her, his lips once again near her ear as he speaks in a quieter, softer voice.]

Whatever you want to do. I'll support you either way.

[garudas]

[Her hands come up out of the water, scooping some along with it so that she can bring it over his arms, letting the warmth trickle over them before she chases it with the brush of her lips. She breathes out, sighing in her appreciation.]

Good... because I do not think I could do it alone...

[She might have tried to once, to hide her shame when she could not do it, but not anymore, and more importantly...]

And I want to be sure you are there when I do succeed.

[She wants to share that joy with him.]

[ramuhs]

And I would want to be there when you do.

[Even if she did manage on her own first, as long as he's the first person she shows it to he would be happy.

But he does chuckle a little as he reminisces for a moment.]

It does remind me of when you were first learning things and would rush to find me when you mastered a skill to show off.

[garudas]

[With a small hum of her own laughter, she reaches over for the bottle of soap and squeezes some into her hands so that she can lather it over his arms as they're wrapped around her.]

I wished to impress you. The approval of the man you admire is a powerful thing.

[Of course, that is no secret now. Nor does she need to try so hard to impress him as she once did.]

Though, would you be able to catch me if I did so now?

[ramuhs]

It was certainly powerful enough to sway me.

[Knowing what he does now, it does make everything she did even cuter. Well, he always thought it cute, and perhaps it was that eagerness in her wanting to impress that helped plant the seeds that would develop into deeper feelings later. All before he even realized it.]

But catch you...what, if you flew off?

[A questioning look as he lets her take her turn to start washing him. He could move his arms, but he feels quite comfortable hugging her like this.]

[garudas]

No, silly.

[She'd rather he didn't move his arms as she continues to inch up further past his elbows, hugging them closer around her as a result.]

If I flew to you. Why in the world would I fly off?

[ramuhs]

[There's just a moment before he snorts and laughs.]

Seems I'm so used to chasing after you, I misunderstood completely.

[garudas]

Mm, it would seem so.

[She shifts again, moving so that she is more sideways than with her back completely to him and she can work the soap into his shoulders now, her smile going soft.]

I don't mind a little chasing once in a while...

[ramuhs]

I think you like it quite a bit.

[A light, playful gleam in his eyes as he watches her for a moment.]

But in answer to your earlier question, I would always be able to catch you.

[garudas]

[Her hand slows on his shoulder, and she glances up at him through her lashes, a playful glint playing in her eyes.]

Even when we are both old and gray and our bones have started to rattle?

[ramuhs]

[He laughs at that.]

Even then. Just might end up more on my back when I do.

[garudas]

[She laughs, the sound soft against the splash of water as she rinses away some of the soap on his arms.]

So long as you break my fall.

[With a squeeze of more soap into her hand, she starts to work on his chest, scrubbing away the day's dirt from his neck and working down, her eyes lingering again on the scar that peeks out from the surface.]

[ramuhs]

I'll break your fall, but that back might break in the process.

[Unaware of where her gaze goes, he just continues to quietly chuckle as he tries to imagine this.]

Maybe you'll need to be the one to catch me.

[garudas]

[His voice snaps her out of her thoughts before they can consume her again, and she leans close, nearly bumping her forehead to his.]

You are too heavy.

[As she slaps some thick bubbly soap against both his cheeks.]

[ramuhs]

[There's a look of surprise before he smirks.]

I imagine you'd still be just as feisty.

[garudas]

That is true. I suppose we continue to be shockingly perfect for one another, hm?

[She'll leave that soap there and start working on his chest now, spreading her fingers wide across the muscle there and slowly massaging them down.]

[ramuhs]

[A low hum as his eyes close for a moment, enjoying the touch of her hands...

...]

Hang on now.

[His eyes snap open as he sits up just a bit and looks at her.]

I was supposed to be treating you.

[garudas]

[She just stares at him, her soft smile unwavering, her touch continuing to massage his muscles.]

Am I not allowed to treat you once in a while?

[ramuhs]

I'm not saying that, but I hadn't even finished.

[He got caught in the hug trap where he just wanted to hug her.]

[garudas]

[It is, indeed, a very effective trap. And it will not stop her as she now slides her hands under his arms to run along his sides, her fingers lingering on the scar again.]

I am not stopping you if you would like to continue...

[ramuhs]

[A slight arch of the brow as he looks down at her, but his own hands will now be moving to her shoulders, fingertips buzzing lightly with that tingling warmth his fingertips slowly circle around the muscles before sliding down along her sides..]

I have a feeling you want me to "advance" the session.

[garudas]

[She hums gently, her eyes closing at the feel of it, the warmth sinking deep beneath her skin, relaxing her further. The water shifts as she lets herself lean against him.]

I actually do not mind the slower, savouring pace...

[ramuhs]

[His eyes soften at that as his hands drift lower.]

Should I let you finish first? Or do you want me to take over?

[garudas]

Hmm?

[Her hum echoes softly, and her hands pause when they slip under the water and around him to his back in a hug.]

You could take over for a bit, since you seem so adamant about it.
